Cut hole
Cutting and piercing technology: any kind of hot cutting technology, except for a few cases can start from the edge of the plate, generally must be a small hole in the plate. In the earlier laser stamping compound machine, a punch was used to punch out a hole first, and then the laser was used to start cutting from the small hole. There are two basic methods of piercing for Laser cutting machine without stamping device:
(1) Blast drilling: after the material is irradiated by a continuous laser, a pit is formed in the center, and then the molten material is quickly removed by an oxygen flow coaxial with the laser beam to form a hole. Generally, the hole size is related to the plate thickness, and the average diameter of the blasting hole is half of the plate thickness. Therefore, the hole diameter of the blasting hole for the thicker plate is large and out of round, so it is not suitable to use on the parts with higher requirements (such as the Petroleum screen seam pipe), and can only be used on the waste. In addition, because the oxygen pressure used for perforation is the same as that used for cutting, the spatter is large.
(2) Pulse drilling: the pulse laser with peak power is used to melt or vaporize a small amount of materials. Air or nitrogen is often used as auxiliary gas to reduce pore expansion due to exothermic oxidation. The gas pressure is smaller than that of oxygen during cutting. Each pulse laser produces only a small jet of particles, which gradually deepens, so it takes a few seconds for a thick plate to pierce. Once the perforation is completed, the auxiliary gas is immediately replaced with oxygen for cutting. In this way, the hole diameter is smaller and the hole quality is better than the blasting hole. The laser used for this purpose should not only have higher output power, but also have more important time and space characteristics of time beam, so the general cross flow CO2 laser can not meet the requirements of laser cutting.
In addition, a more reliable gas control system is needed to control the type and pressure of gas and the time of perforation. In the case of pulse piercing, in order to obtain a high-quality notch, the transition technology from the pulse piercing when the workpiece is still to the constant speed continuous cutting of the workpiece should be paid attention to. In theory, the cutting conditions of acceleration section can be changed, such as focal length, nozzle position, gas pressure, etc., but in fact, it is unlikely to change the above conditions due to too short time. In the industrial production, it is more practical to change the average laser power. There are three specific methods: (1) change the pulse width; (2) change the pulse frequency; (3) change the pulse width and frequency at the same time. The results show that (3) is the best.
